The Creek

~Esmee~

My shoes and socks rest on the shore under the watch of a short maple. The cool water caresses my bare feet as I slowly wade in, hoping to escape the summer heat and the rest of camp for a while. I begin making my way to my favorite rock near the middle of the creek.

[ Sam ]
I head down to the creek, hoping for some privacy to just relax. As I walk I notice Esmee sitting on a rock in the middle of the water, I throw my hand up and wave.

"Hi!"

~Esmee~

I look over and grin. "'Sup?"

Sam smiles back, "Nothing much! What about you?"

~Esmee~

"Pretty much the same," I say. "Just trying to relax for a while."

"I see." Sam nods, "Ohhh I get it. You're a Poseidon kid you came to the creek. Alright yeah, that makes sense."

~Esmee~

I shrug. "I'd probably come here even if I wasn't a child of Poseidon. Well, maybe that's part of it, but there's more to me and my actions than Dad, y'know?"

Sam-
"I see." I sat down on the edge of the land and dipped my feet into the water. "It's chilly!"

~Esmee~

"You'll get used to it," I say with a little grin. The water's temperature didn't affect me much at all. "Besides, it's so warm out it'll probably feel nice after a while."

Sam-
"Yeah, agreed. It's damn hot out today." I groan, pushing myself farther into the creek.

~Esmee~

I nod, using hydrokinesis to splash a bit of the creek water onto my legs and arms.

{ Alicia }
Once I had spotted my half sister, I paused. She seemed to be with another person, and I would have hated to got in their way of what they were doing. I especially didn't want to barge in if they might have been talking about private stuff.

"Uh, hey Esmee," I greeted somewhat hesitantly.

~Esmee~

I look over and wave at my half-sister. "Heya, Alicia!"

{ Alicia }
I smiled softly, finding myself a seat next to her, "Sorry to intrude, if you want I can go."

~Esmee~

I suddenly sit up straighter. "Hey, y'know, I just realized... Alicia, do you know what time it is?"

{ Alicia }
"Summertime?" I blink, knowing that was probably the wrong answer.

~Esmee~

"No, no... like, what time P.M.?"

{ Alicia }
"3 P.M.? I think? Maybe?" I say, checking my wrist and pants for a phone or clock or something.

~Esmee~

I mutter some Greek profanities. "Vievie's gonna murder me... I've gotta go, she wanted me to meet up with her for some training or something. You wanna come?"

{ Alicia }
"Sure thing," I answer, standing up as she offers me.

Sam decides to stay at the creek.

~Esmee~

I wave at Sam as I stand and begin to tear off towards the cabins, forgetting my shoes.

~Lilith~
My feet swish quietly in the water, the rhythm of my feet matching the tune of the song I hum under my breath. I stare blankly at the creek as my thoughts gradually move further away from reality.

~Tara~

"My Queens is a queen, not talking bright lights and shiny things," I meander down to the stream, singing loudly the entire way. "But we always made it work, building castles out of dirt..."

I sit by the side of the creek, blowing out a small breeze from my mouth to sway the leaves in the trees.
