"Okay, what do I do?"

~Xavier
"You're actually going to have to put a bit more work into this one. Think you can paddle a ways out? Just lay on your stomach until I tell you to get up. Just remember to stay in the middle of the board and enjoy the ride; you might need to adjust the board a little by shifting your weight, otherwise you'll wipeout in the tube. Got it?"

~Lilith~
"Uhm, okay..." I say, not really processing of it.

"If I wipe out you'll save me, right?"

~Xavier
"Do you even have to ask?" I say, grinning. "Trust me, you'll be fine."

~Lilith~
"Aye aye, captain," I say, mock-saluting and then paddling out into the water.

"Ready?" I start, focusing as I raise my arms above my head.

~Lilith~
"As I'll ever be..."

~Xavier
Taking a deep breath, I form the pipeline a few yards behind Lilith. As it draws closer and begins to draw her in I shout, "Start paddling towards me as fast as you can! Then, in five seconds, get up on the board!"

"How quaint," I mussed from the shady chair on the sand.

~Lilith~
"Wha- Okay!" I say, frantically paddling and counting down from five in my head.

5, 4, 3, 2, 1...

Once I reach zero, I slide my foot up the board and push myself backwards until I'm in a crouching position. The wave curls behind me as I ride it forward, filled with a sense of lightness and triumph. My eyes widen when I come to the realization that I'm riding the wave, and a smile breaks onto my face.

The wave slows down, however, and before I know it the wall of water next to me closes in. The ocean envelopes me, and before I can process what happened I'm submerged in water. I float under the water, gazing at the watery depths and deciding to see how long I can hold my breath.

Slowly, I force myself to get up out of the water. I had nearly fallen asleep right there in the Sound. Sure, I probably would have been fine, but still.

I trod across the beach, digging my feet into the warm sand. I take my time. I scoop up things in the sand here and there, admiring them for a moment before letting them fall back down.

She lasts pretty far into the wave, but unfortunately wipes out in any case. I dive down into the water and shoot myself towards her, wrapping an arm around her back before pushing us both towards the surface.

We are plunged into the water of the sound, about a quarter of a mile from where I'd wanted to appear.

"Well, that wasn't so bad, was it?" I say as I tread water. Then, the exhaustion of using up all that magic at once hits, especially having carried someone with me, and I find myself beginning to sink.

~Chris~

I begin to respond when Judal begins to sink. I swear violently, hooking an arm around him while treading water. I begin to swim back to shore.

I'm unconscious.

~Chris~

Eventually, somehow, I get us both back on the beach. Immediately I check over Judal. "...Judal?"

~Judal
I am still unconscious and probably waterlogged.

~Chris~

"Judal?" I begin to get more concerned. "Babe. Judal." I lightly shake him.

~Esmee~

I run over, noticing that something isn't right. "Chris..? What happened?"

~Judal
My lungs have taken in seawater and I'm not breathing.

~Xavier
Far off along of the sound, I can't even see or hear the commotion.

"Are you okay?" I ask her, worried.

~Glace~
"I love a good show," I cackled gleefully as I watched the chaos.

~Chris~

"I think he took in water..." I trail off. How do I do this..?

~Esmee~

"Oh gods. Do you know CPR? I could use Hydrokinesis to do it, but I generally don't like pulling water out of a person like that. It's a bit risky."

~Glace~
"Risky! How exciting," I said before I took a sip of lemonade.
