Athena Cabin

~Alvie~

I rise from my bed, setting aside the books and papers that had accumulated over a few hours. Slipping from my bed, I go to rummage through my things in search of a brush for my hair. If I'm going to go out into camp, it would be best to be looking presentable, not like I had spent the day thus far in bed. Which, of course, I had. But they don't need to know that.

~Luc~
I sat up from my nap before I let out a big yawn. "Hello?" I called sleepily into the cabin as I ran a hand through my hair.

~Irelia
I read 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, completely absorbed.

~Luc~
My bare feet touched down on the wooden floor before I stood up and stretched some more. I yawned again as I walked around the cabin. "Irelia?" I said as I saw her reading her book on her bed.

~Irelia
"Ugh, what is it?" I say, unwillingly setting my book down.

~Luc~
"I just wanted to say good morning," I said with a smile as I looked down at her book. "What are you reading?"

~Irelia
"20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne. And it's great, thanks."

~Luc~
"I've never read that one before," I said as I sat on the floor in front of her. "What's it about?"

~Irelia
I sigh, but since he's not going away, I might as well entertain his questions.

"Well, it's about this huge submarine that sinks other ships called the Nautilus, captained by a lunatic called Captain Nemo. He goes around sinking ships and visiting different parts of the ocean out of hatred for civilization. It's a pretty good book, but I'm only halfway, so we'll see what happens."

~Luc~
"So like finding Nemo?" I asked with a joking grin.

~Irelia
"Sure, why not?" I say, exasperated. Was this kid really a child of Athena?

~Luc~
"That's such a good movie," I said reverently before I started laughing. "I wasn't serious, Irelia."

~Irelia
"Good, you were scaring me. I can't be too sure."

~Luc~
I laughed as I shook my head slightly. "I should probably change out of my pajamas, and you should probably go outside to get some fresh air."

~Irelia
"I guess you're right," I say, knowing that fresh air was good for the body. That didn't make me any more willing, but I didn't think he was going to leave me alone. At least it was just one of my siblings.

~Luc~
I changed quickly before I walked outside of the cabin. "It's beautiful outside today."

~Irelia
"It's like this everyday. Camp has magically stabilized weather conditions," I reply.

~Luc~
"I'll race you to the lake," I said as I assumed a running position outside of the cabin.

~Irelia
"You'll win. I hate running, and I can't run that far. Or very far at all."

~Luc~
"Well, that's no fun," I said as I stood up from my running position.

~Irelia
"I suggest we head to the Mess Hall instead. I haven't eaten in a while."

~Luc~
"That's not good," I said as I started to walk to mess hall.
