Poseidon Cabin

~Jane~
"I haven't heard from mom in a while."

JP~
"What a shocker there" I mumble under my breath

~Jane~
"She tried her hardest. You know it was all she could do..." I said in a whisper almost.

JP~
"That doesn't change the fact that she lied to us for years"

~Jane~
"Juany," I said as I looked down at my shoes. "She was a single woman in Mexico who sold fruit on the side of the road to get by. She had no idea how any of this would effect us. She had no choice."

JP-
"That still doesn't make up for the fact that she didn't tell us anything about Dad even when we started running for our lives!"

~Jane~
"She was scared!" I said before I quickly silenced myself.

JP-
I sigh looking away from my sister "So were we" I say quietly

~Jane~
"Dad is just as much to blame," I said as I looked at him.

JP-
"And I'm not saying he isn't."

~Jane~
"I know you aren't."

JP-
I sigh "I'm sorry... I'm just frustrated" I say

~Jane~
"I know you are. We can't blame her though...or him."

JP-
" I know" I say running my hand through my hair

~Jane~
"They both had reasons for what they did."

JP~
"I'm worried about mom" I admit after an awkward silence between the two of us.

~Jane~
"I know," I said with a sigh. "I am too."

JP~
I hug my sister before going to sit down staring out at the nearby water

~Xavier
"Well, here we are. Stand back, you don't want to get wet."

~Lilith~
"Uhm, okay..." I say, taking a step back.

"What exactly are you doing?"

~Xavier
"You'll see," I reply mysteriously, taking a deep breath to focus myself. Even though I'd used up some strength at the beach, a task like this would be simple to accomplish. After picking up anything that had been left on the floor and placing it on one of the empty beds in somewhat organized piles, I gather water from the fountain in the corner of the room, washing down the floor and sweeping it out the front door. I'd realized this was probably the quickest and easiest way to clean the Poseidon cabin's floors, which, as expected at a camp, collected dirt, mud, twigs, leaves, dust, and other bits and pieces. However, with this method of cleaning, the cabin remained pristine with minimal effort. I made sure not get anything wet as it sweeps out the open door. To keep there from being a giant mud hole in front of the door, however, I diverted the water into separate streams that went into nearby patches of flowers or grass. Of course, there was still the matter of keeping the cabin neat and the furniture clean, which was sometimes a hassle, but we tried our best.

"What do you think?" I say with a sigh as I lean against the cabin's outer wall, catching my breath as the slow onset of exhaustion set in. That was enough practice for today. "Hydrokinesis gives cleaning a whole new meaning," I joke, saying it in a tone reminiscent of the Swiffer commerical.

~Lilith~
"Wow. You should try that at the Nyx cabin sometime... It looks much better than sweeping," I say, eyes widened at the entire process. My gaze shifts to Xavier, and worry takes over my features when I realize how tired he is.

"Are you okay? It seems like you've been overworking yourself lately..." I say, my hand reaching for his arm.

~Xavier
"It's nothing," I say, brushing her off and standing up. "All in a day's work for a Counselor. You know that."

~Lilith~
"Yeah, I do..." I say, sighing and retracting my arm.

"I just... care about you. And if there's anything wrong, I want you to tell me."

~Xavier
"I'm sorry; I will, I promise," I say, taking her hand in mind. I kiss her on the forehead before smiling gently and saying, "Well, a deal's a deal. To the store we go."
